Restore your confidence in your smile.

Restore your confidence in your smile.

Teeth are the hardest substance in the human body, and they facilitate the first step in digestion. But bite forces, acidic foods and drinks, cavities, and trauma can damage teeth that require professional attention. Kharsa Clinics provides modern techniques and materials that leave you smiling just as nature intended.

Most Commonly Asked Questions

What steps can I take to maintain healthy teeth?

Maintaining healthy teeth begins with the eruption of a child’s first primary tooth. This involves avoiding sugary foods and drinks, ensuring proper brushing according to the child’s age, and visiting a pediatric dentist by the age of two and a half. Regular dental checkups every six months are essential for both children and adults. During these visits, the hygienist will clean the teeth, apply fluoride and sealants if needed, and the dentist will examine the teeth and surrounding tissues to recommend any necessary treatments.

How do you repair cavities?

Cavities develop when harmful bacteria produce toxins that dissolve the hard, outer layer of the tooth. These bacteria rely on sugars for energy and produce acid during energy metabolism. Your general dentist will recommend the most suitable treatment if you have a cavity. For about 80% of smaller cavities, we use a special dental laser that doesn’t require numbing. This gentle antibacterial technique preserves healthy tooth structure and only removes damaged portions. We then repair the area with a bonded, tooth-colored material that is safe and compatible with your overall health. In larger cavities, we use the conventional approach to restore the tooth with aesthetic restoration fabricated by computers e.g. porcelain inlays and onlays. If more than half the tooth is missing, cracked, or weakened, we may recommend restoring the tooth with a dental crown.

What is a dental crown or cap?

Dental crowns, or caps, allow us to rebuild damaged teeth with materials that replicate nature. Modern caps are often indistinguishable from natural teeth, and they’re usually made from porcelain to restore a single tooth or multiple teeth, including the entire mouth. A special crown can be attached to dental implants to replace missing teeth with strength and beauty, too. We also choose more conservative porcelain restorations when large tooth segments remain undamaged, known as inlays and onlays. We also use digital technology for many cases to provide same day restorations for ultimate convenience and efficiency. Our providers are committed to finding the best way to preserve and restore each tooth for long-term benefits.

Do you provide same-day, single-appointment crowns?

Yes, we use the latest technology to fabricate our full ceramic restorations and avoid annoying impressions. We quickly capture digital scans and design your new crown, onlay, or inlay with advanced CAD software. A special milling machine produces the most accurate porcelain restorations available without temporary crowns, long waits for a second appointment, or additional numbing.

What do you use to fill cavities?

Modern dental fillings are made from special resins that blend into the surrounding tooth structure. Our dentists use the highest-quality materials to recreate the form, shape, and appearance of a natural tooth. They bond these fillings to the tooth for additional strength, which may last for many years with good habits and homecare.

How can you repair a broken front tooth?

As experts in cosmetic dentistry, we always consider the beauty of our restorations. When a front tooth chips or breaks, we may be able to repair it with a bonded filling material similar to the resin used for cavities. Advanced resin can be sculpted, cured, and polished with a unique 3D layering technique to create undetectable restorations. If more than half a tooth is missing, cracked, or badly discolored, we may consider a porcelain cap designed to look like the teeth around it.

What happens if you can’t repair my tooth?

We always consider your goals and will try to save a tooth whenever possible. But if a tooth needs removal, we can provide simple oral surgical services and help you evaluate your options for tooth replacement. Our specialists can coordinate follow-up care with dental implants, bridges, or removable appliances for long-term solutions.

What do you do if I grind my teeth in my sleep?

When you clench your teeth, you can feel the muscles on both sides of your face contract. These chewing muscles can generate up to 300 pounds per square inch on your teeth and stress the jaw joints, too. Powerful clenching and grinding forces can wear away enamel and crack teeth and might cause a lot of facial muscle and joint pain. At Kharsa Clinics, we uncover the underlying cause of your problem rather than simply treating the symptoms. For example, many people suffer from sleep apnea or bite problems that cause teeth grinding. After doing a thorough evaluation, our doctors can help coordinate a plan that improves quality of life and may improve overall health.
