Biography

Dr. Alyahya grew up in Riyadh and attended King Saud University where he earned his dental degree in 2008. He then added extensive training by completing an internship before acceptance into a surgical pre-residency program at the University of Toronto. His experience broadened further through a five year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency followed by a fellowship in orthognathic and facial plastic surgery at Leuven University in Belgium in 2018.

Dr. Alyahya’s intensive background in oral maxillofacial surgery also includes years of experience at King Saud Medical City’s Trauma Center. In addition to his experience in trauma and dentofacial deformities, he practices orthognathic surgery at King Abdulaziz Medical City / National Guard. Currently, he is the chairman of the training committee for the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Saudi Board in Riyadh. Dr. Alyahya regularly speaks at international conferences and his research has been published in various international journals including the British Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and the International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. He also has a keen interest in Digital Dentistry and was nominated as a Master Clinical Trainer by the Dynamic Navigation Society in Canada.

Outside of the clinic and the operating room, Dr. Alyahya loves reading, cooking, traveling, and meeting people from other cultures. He plays Padel and has a Padel academy. He’s also a CAD designer who enjoys creating logos and visual identities for brands.
