Biography
Dr. Saad Al-Kharsa serves as founder and executive director of Kharsa Clinics. After establishing Kharsa Orthodontics in 1986, he expanded his practice to include other dental specialties. The holistic approach of today’s Kharsa Clinics embodies his lifetime commitment to helping thousands of patients smile, and live with confidence. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Damascus University, he completed his orthodontic residency training at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1983. Dr. Al-Kharsa’s lifelong passion for learning resulted in his distinction as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He’s equally committed to empowering people, including helping future orthodontists as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Riyadh Elm College Post Graduate Orthodontic Program and as a faculty member of the Saudi Board of Orthodontics Specialty Program. Dr. Al-Kharsa has authored various research publications, and he regularly lectures at meetings hosted by professional organizations. His comprehensive approach embodies digital technologies, advanced diagnostic techniques, and biomechanics to improve oral health. Dr. Al-Kharsa and his wife enjoy their two grown children and grandchildren, and family means the world to him. He’s involved with humanitarian work serving refugees and people in need and other volunteer activities, but he tries to make time for reading, traveling, a brisk walk, and good food, too.
